Helena Beatriz da Conceição
Holds a Ph.D. in Bioinformatics from the University of São Paulo (2023) and a bachelor's in Physical and Biomolecular Sciences from the University of São Paulo (2017). I have experience in Molecular Biology, Bioinformatics, and Genetics. In my current line of research, I am seeking to elucidate part of the functional role of retrocopies in the human genome through a detailed study of their contributions to the generation of new genes and gene regions under normal and tumoral conditions.
