The Bioinformatics Laboratory at Molecular Oncology Center
The Bioinformatics group at the Instituto Sírio-Libanês de Ensino e Pesquisa was created in June 2011 with the main goal as first quality research in the field of bioinformatics focusing on genomics and transcriptomics of normal or pathological biological models, mainly cancer related.
Research
Research in biology and medicine has been greatly transformed in the last decade, specially by the generation, processing and analysis of large datasets.
Publications
The Bioinformatics group at the Instituto Sírio-Libanês de Ensino e Pesquisa (IEP) consists of 7 full time members and several collaborators. These members come from diverse backgrounds, including biologists.
Opportunities
The Bioinformatics (Bioinfo) group at the Sírio-Libanês Hospital was created in June 2011 by Dr. Pedro A. F. Galante. Currently the group includes researchers, PhD students and technicians working in a range of research projects in the field of Bioinformatics.
Members
The Bioinformatics group at the Instituto Sírio-Libanês de Ensino e Pesquisa (IEP) consists of 7 full time members and several collaborators. These members come from diverse backgrounds, including biologists, computation engineer, computation scientist, and molecular scientist. The result of this diversity is a multidisciplinary environment where we work on (and discuss deeply) different subjects related to computation, biology and medicine, as well as the intersection of these areas. For more details, take a look at our Research and in each member individual page.
