Further Information 

During Filipe's undergrad he was awarded with a government scholarship - Brazilian Scientific Mobility Program (BSMP) / "Ciências sem Fronteiras" - to study abroad at the University of Cincinnati (UC; 2015-2016), supported by the Institute of International Education (IIE) and Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior (CAPES), performing an internship at the Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center (CCHMC). Recently, he was awarded another scholarship, called BEPE (Research Internships Abroad), from the São Paulo Research Foundation (FAPESP), where he deepened his doctorate studies in the Sanford Consortium & Stem Cell Research at the University of California San Diego (UCSD) with Dr. Alysson R. Muotri. His expertises and interests are OMICs data, tool and database development, machine / deep learning applications, infectious diseases, brain organoids and translational research.
